I know my website isn’t that popular. Really, the only time I’ve mentioned it anywhere publicly was a few days ago when I wanted to publish a handy bookmarklet to get around one of Facebook’s most annoying “features.” And that was only on my Facebook profile to my curated list of friends. But for the most part, it’s been quiet.

A couple of weeks ago, I added a little something to the About Me page, along with the tag line you’ll see underneath my name. I’ve been writing fiction, and now I’m gonna actually put a name to it.

Directorate 51 is a series of e-books I’m writing. The first one, Revelation, has been mostly complete for most of the year, but I shelved it so I could look at it with fresh eyes. But, it’s actually been in existence for a while — I even published a version of it under a pen name in 2009. I wasn’t happy with the ending so I pulled it a couple of days later after selling one copy, and as I worked on the ending I realized I didn’t love the rest of the book either.

So I rewrote. And rewrote. And rewrote. I honestly don’t know how many times I started over.

And next month, I’m planning to finally publish Revelation. I’m happier with the story, and I think it’ll be exciting.
